Delsa Smith Allen, photographer, was born and raised in the Pinedale area with the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming looking over her. She has a strong passion for the energy and beauty of the surrounding land and those who inhabit it, and she has a special way of capturing that to share with others through her photography.
Delsa began publishing her photographs in the local newspaper while still in high school. She earned a degree in photography from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, then came back to her home, the Winds. As a full-time photojournalist in Sublette County, Delsa racked up many state and national awards. From her nearly 10 years with community newspapers, she gained an approach to photography that would strengthen her photographic eye and mind.
